Charities - HDA & Mind

In this section: Huntingdon's Disease - HDA | Mental Health - MIND

My primary motivation for skiing to the Geographic North and South Poles in 2009 is to raise awareness and money for two charities that are related to illnesses that have profoundly affected members of my immediate family over recent years;- Mind and the Huntington's Disease Association.

My Chosen Charities

MIND is a leading Mental Health Charity in the UK. It works to create a better life for everyone experiencing mental health problems.

The Huntington's Disease Association (HDA), supports those affected by Huntington's Disease (HD), their families and their carers. It also funds research into treatments for HD and, ultimately, a cure.

My Objective

My aim is to raise in excess of £100,000 in total over the course of my twin polar challenges. Fund raising events are planned for the Summer, including an auction and a sponsored head shave of a well known celebrity.

Details of all future fund raising events will be posted on this website in due course.

It is easy to make a donation to my chosen charities.

Please either donate on-line through Just Giving, which will also enable any donations to be increased by 28% at no additional cost to the donor through Gift Aid.

Alternatively, please send a cheque payable to "Jo Oliver Charity Account" to;-
